Heading Toward a Bright Future

The darkest weeks of November are here, but at Omnia, our eyes are set on a bright future — one built on learning, skills, and well-being.

At Omnia, we believe that everyone has the ability and the desire to learn. As skills grow stronger, so does confidence — both in oneself and in the future.

Learning does not happen alone. It takes place within communities and networks that support, inspire, and help each of us move forward. Together, we are building a future where everyone has the space to grow and thrive.

In December, we celebrate our graduating students. New upper secondary graduates, vocational graduates, and others who have reached their goals are at an important milestone, taking a meaningful step forward in their lives. A qualification is not only an achievement for the student, but also for society as a whole.

Omnia’s learning paths are diverse and flexible. Some continue to higher education, others move into working life, and many return later to further develop their skills. Omnia’s broad range of study opportunities makes lifelong learning possible.

I wish everyone joy in learning, light in the November darkness, and warm moments as the year draws to a close. Congratulations and best wishes for the future to all our graduates.

The Tobacco prohibits the use of nicotine pouches and e-cigarettes

""

Since August 2025, the Tobacco Act has also applied to nicotine pouches, snus, e-cigarettes, and other smokeless nicotine products. The use and display of all products covered by the Tobacco Act are prohibited on school and campus grounds. This ban applies to students, staff, visitors, and guardians alike.

Individuals under 18 years of age are not allowed to possess tobacco products or their substitutes, such as nicotine pouches or nicotine-free vapes.

Violations of the Tobacco Act may result in a warning or written notice, and in serious cases, the matter may be reported to the police.

A detailed notice about this change has previously been sent to students via Wilma.

Student Survey: Looking Ahead to Life After Your Studies

""

At Omnia, we want to support you in the best possible way throughout your learning journey — whether your goal is to find a job, start your own business, or continue to further studies.

Tell us how we can better support you at different stages of your studies: before, during, and after your time at Omnia.

The survey includes three questions and can be completed anonymously. By leaving your contact information, you’ll be entered into a draw to win 2 movie tickets — we’re giving away a total of 5 ticket packages.

The survey is open until Wednesday, November 19, at 23.59.

Thank you for helping us improve our services!

The School Health Promotion Study Shows Positive Development in Students’ Well-Being

""

In the spring of 2025, the School Health Promotion Study was conducted for the first time among all students in vocational qualification and TUVA education programs, regardless of age.

Based on the results for students under the age of 21, Omnia students smoke and use alcohol, snus, and nicotine pouches less than students elsewhere in Finland. However, experimenting with and using cannabis was slightly more common.

The results were also positive in many other areas: an increasing number of students feel they receive support at school and have the opportunity to talk with an adult about things that concern them. In addition, more students feel that teachers are genuinely interested in their lives and well-being.

The results for students over 21 will be published later.
