Description of the campus

The Leppävaara regional centre on Komentajankatu houses activities of the Espoo Adult Education Centre. The premises are located about 500 metres from the Sello Shopping Centre, with ten classrooms. The educational offering of the Espoo Adult Education Centre includes art, music, languages and sports.

The campus also has a teaching kitchen and a textile classroom where courses are organised. In addition to the activities of the Espoo Adult Education Centre, education in the Finnish language, literacy and instruction of the Espoo Upper Secondary School for Adults is organised at the campus. A caretaker works in the building according to the course schedule.

Getting there

The Komentajankatu campus is located in Leppävaara, Espoo, with good transport connections. The easiest way to get there is by train. Leppävaara station is a short walk away.

Parking

There is one designated parking space for people with mobility impairments at the office.

Entrance

The campus building does not have automatically opening doors. At the main entrance, there is an intercom through which you can receive assistance from the caretaker for entry. Alternatively, you can call the caretaker and drive to the designated parking space for people with mobility impairments in the parking garage, from where you can directly access the elevator.

Interior of the campus

The caretaker's workstation is located in the hallway on the 4th floor. There are some thresholds at the doors within the office. The office has a public accessible restroom with a baby changing table.

There is no hearing loop for hearing aids in the office.
