Student healthcare maintains and supports physical, psychological and social well-being. You can turn to a student health care nurse whenever you need information about health or health services.
The nurse will help you if, for example,
- there is something worrying you about your health that affects your studies,
- you are planning to study abroad,
- you need support for substance use management, life management or healthy lifestyles,
- you experience intense stress during your studies,
- you need help and information on sexual health and contraception.
The student health nurse will provide you, among other things,
- information about vaccinations and health services,
- health check prior to your invitation to military services,
- booked an appointment with the doctor,
- first aid.
To whom?
Student health care is available to you if you are studying full-time for an upper secondary vocational qualification and your studies last continuously for at least 2 months. You must be entitled to study support granted by Kela.
Student healthcare services are free of charge.
This is how you reach a nurse
Appointments for nurses and, through them, doctors can be booked daily at the centralised offices. Learn more about the student healthcare services (luvn.fi/en) and online appointment booking (espoo.terveytesi.fi).
You can also reach the nurse via chat. The strong authentication is required for Digital Wellbeing Chat (digihyvinvointi.luvn.fi/en) and it is open on Mon-Fri from 9 am to 1 pm. Phone number: 029 151 2690 .
If you wish to use the services of a student counsellor, public health nurse, or psychologist, please first grant Student Welfare access to the necessary information in Wilma so that you can receive the support you need as smoothly as possible.
