Project description

The project experiments with the use of humanoid robots as teachers. Robot teachers are brought into the basic skills studies organised by the Espoo Adult Education Centre. The aim of the project is to develop skills (literacy, Finnish, artificial intelligence, robotics) that will improve the opportunities for immigrants to participate in the society. Skills that enable participation promote motivation and enthusiasm to be active in the society.  In addition to language and professional skills, an important factor influencing the employment of foreign-language speakers is the management of basic and digital skills.
