Project description

The aim of the project is to create easy-to-use materials for teaching future skills in vocational education and training. This is a co-project between Perho, Culinary, Tourism & Business College and Omnia. The project will take use of the structures and materials of Sitra’s workshops on future skills especially when developing teaching materials for sustainability. The funding comes from Sitra.

The outcomes of the project will be exercises and complete teaching packages for VET teachers. The topic is “How can you use future thinking as part of the teaching of sustainability?”

There will be three teaching packages: 

  • Compact teaching package with some exercises (duration: 15–60 minutes)
  • Future professionals – workshop (duration: 3–4 hours)
  • A wide package that concentrates especially on individual’s own action and possibilities of participate (1 to 3 study credits)

Target group(s)

Teachers in vocational education and training. The materials will be used as part of teaching sustainability in the first place, but they are also suitable for teaching other subjects and for other types of training. The materials can be used in F2F teaching as well as in online teaching.
