Project description

The goal of education for immigrant women is to recruit an estimated 40 women belonging to the target group for one academic year-long training programs and to provide women with the conditions to apply for and advance into working life and/or Finnish-language further studies after or even during the training. The training model developed in the project will be visualized and constructed so that it can also be used in other educational environments.

Target groups

1. Unemployed job seekers who do not have sufficient language skills to gain employment in work corresponding to their own field of education or to participate comprehensively in working life.
2. Job seekers who have registered for unemployment and have completed a vocational or higher education degree, whose education does not provide sufficient language skills in Finnish to operate in working life.
3. Other job seekers registered for unemployment who are immigrant women exceeding the integration period, for example, women registered as job seekers with only a basic or upper secondary education, as well as women who have obtained Finnish citizenship but lack language skills for working life in Finland.
