Omnia, together with the Estonian Foundation Innove and Lithuanian MOSTA, Research and Higher Education Monitoring and Analysis Centre, is in charge of the twinning project "Enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system" in Moldova. The project is funded by the Eiropean Union.
The national partners of the project are the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, Finnish National Agency of Education, City of Espoo and the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre Karvi. There are also 53 specialists from Finland, Estonia and Lithuania. Among them there are ten participants from Omnia. In addition to that, the person responsible for one of the components of the project, the leader of the project and the project office are based in Omnia.
“This is a significant sign of trust towards Omnia. We have previously completed Twinning-projects in Egypt and in Kosovo, therefore we are experienced in EU projects at this level. This is especially a national project, which has the best actors in Finland, and the expert organisations from Estonia and Lithuania as junior partners. It is very good to complete the project together with these partners”, says Sampo Suihko, the Director General of Omnia.
