Omnia and The Institute of Technical Education in Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of vocational education and training.
The collaboration began in mid-September, when a delegation of officials from Singapore visited Omnia in Espoo to sign the Memorandum of Understanding. The document was signed by Omnia’s Director General Sampo Suihko and Ms Low Khah Gek, The Chief Executive Officer from The Institute of Technical Education.
The areas of cooperation between the educational institutes encompass, for example, student attachment and exchange, including joint projects as well as staff capability development, attachment and exchange.
Other areas of cooperation are sharing of systems, best practices, key indicators and processes for benchmarking, organisational excellence and quality assurance, facilitation in collaboration and partnership with industry as well as development of joint international activities for projects in third countries.
Sharing of digital-based visionary development of vocational education and training is also included in the collaboration.
