Workspaces
The library is a peaceful environment for studying or working alone and in groups. Please give others peace to study by avoiding loud conversation and unnecessary phone use.
The Espoon keskus library has two research rooms that can be reserved for quiet work. Ask the library staff for available slots and more information.
Work equipment
The library’s customer computers are available to everyone during the library’s opening hours. They are not reserved in advance, and you can go directly to any available computer. Log in to the computer with your student ID. The library uses Omnia’s secure printing. At Kirkkokatu, the printer is inside the library, in room KA0068. At Upseerinkatu, the nearest printer is outside the library in the corridor.
The Leppävaara library has 18 laptops and 24 Chromebooks for students to borrow for one day of study. The device is borrowed with a library card and must be returned before the library closes. See the instructions for borrowing.
VR equipment
In Omnia’s libraries, you can explore virtual reality with HTC Vive VR devices. At Kirkkokatu, the VR equipment is located in the library’s computer room KA0063, which must be booked through Wilma. At Upseerinkatu, the VR equipment is located in the corner of the library hall. There is a wide selection of games and applications to choose from. For example, you can explore different places on Google Earth, test your skills with a forklift truck checklist, or experience the joy of exercise in a boxing game.
