Student Newsletter Omnis October 2022

Wishing you all a colourful autumn!

At Omnia, we organise our teaching, guidance and support for you students and your learning. Our most important task is to ensure that you will reach your targets and succeed. Success means different things for everyone, as everyone has different skills and expectations for studying.

In order to succeed, it is important to set goals. You can do it for yourself, but for the sake of the learning process, it is especially important to set the targets together with your teacher or instructor. It is at least equally important to get positive feedback when you reach them and celebrate the moments of success, even if they are small.

The goals are being set and the studies planned in various manners, depending on the training or service. In vocational training and education, general upper secondary education and basic adult education, personal skills development plans must be drawn, and some courses or training do not require any documents. It is indeed more important to discuss your aims even if the course is short and maintain the interaction, and have a sense that your learning targets are important to your teacher or instructor.

Are your studies progressing smoothly at Omnia? How could we develop our services and training? By asking these questions, we aim to develop our operations, and only you students can provide us with the answers. We receive a lot of feedback from surveys, and we also need shared communication and discussion. Recently, we have started to have breakfast once a month together with the student board. Many ideas for development that have emerged from our discussions have already been taken forward.

Have a good autumn vacation!
